The oxidized bitumen produced at the Ukrainian refinery was modified with maleic anhydride. process temperature proved to have most significant effect on modification. chemical interaction of anhydride components confirmed. At low temperatures (up 403 K) chemistry modification is another than carried out high temperatures. structures were established different (403, 423 and 443 using FTIR spectroscopy. A thin film heating 436 K (RTFOT method) performed for under study. It found that K, formed structure destroyed after by RTFOT, which confirmed a decrease in softening point bitumen. spectra original recorded RTFOT process. Based obtained data, structural transformations occurred during established.
